Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Yumoto Fujiya. This Ryokan Hotel has 139 guest rooms, and 53 of the rooms are combined Western and Japanese-style guest rooms (twin beds with a tatami mat room), 10 rooms are Japanese-style guest rooms, and the remainder are Western-style guest rooms. All guest rooms have their own private bath and toilet. Yumoto Fujiya has indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only) and there is also a "family bath" which can be privately reserved by the guests. Please ask for details at the front desk when checking in to Yumoto Fujiya. During the summer months guests can enjoy the ryokan's outdoor swimming pool. Check-in time is after 2:00pm and check-out time is before 11:00am.
