The Japanese government has launched a campaign to promote domestic travel on July 22nd and Japanese Guest Houses is registered for the campaign. Here’s what you need to know to enjoy it.
What is the Go To Travel Campaign?
The Go to Travel campaign is a Japanese government initiative encouraging domestic travel to help boost the economy. Travelers will receive a 35% discount on accommodations with a maximum subsidy of 20,000 yen per person per night.
Who can apply?
Anyone living in Japan can apply.
When does the Go to Travel campaign end?
The campaign is expected to end in the spring 2021 though an exact date is not set.
How to apply?
Ask about it to your Ryokan Expert when making the reservation.
There is no limit to the number of times you can use the Go to Travel Campaign, and there is no limit to the number of consecutive nights at the destination. However, it will be limited to stays within the campaign period.
