Great location and scenic setting. Food is good for the value of money though there is room to improve. Onsen is good especially the family one. The two outdoor onsens outside the main building is difficult to access as I can find any changing facilities attached. Room is running old and not well maintained, can find dust and spider webs which are rare in other ryokans. The room I stayed has no bath facilities and a very tight toilet. Hope the hotel can plan a major uplift as it will be a pity to spoil the beautiful environment. I would be more than willing to pay a higher rate for a better product.

Exactly what we were looking for - a very traditional Onsen Ryokan experience. The evening meal served in your room was amazing and the area wonderful to explore. Felt lovely and remote at the end of the road yet still close to Sapporo.

Nice rooms but fabulous secluded location with excellent service. Must visit. Only problem is no nearby restaurant nor convenient store; especially when one is hungry after midnight.
