Welcome to Kurama Onsen. Located in rural Kyoto, this Modern Ryokan is located within a beautiful river ravine. The train ride to Kurama Onsen is wonderful, and the setting of the ryokan within the tall dark cedar trees will make you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of metropolitan Kyoto. There are both indoor and outdoor shared hot spring baths for women and men (same gender only). The outdoor hot spring bath hours are from 7:30 am to 21:00, and the indoor hot spring bath hours are from 7:30 am to 23:00. Kurama Onsen has traditional Japanese style rooms, and guests can dine on fine Kyoto style seasonal cuisine or explore the nearby hiking trails that lead to Kibune Shrine and Kurama Temple.
Please note that Kurama Onsen does not accept guests with tattoos, so if you have a tattoo unfortunately you cannot stay in this ryokan.
