Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Arima Gyoen. Located in the hot spring resort of Arima Onsen (Arima Hot Spring), this large Ryokan Hotel has 80 guest rooms and most of the guest rooms are Japanese-style. All of the rooms have their own private baths and toilets. There are shared indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only) at Arima Gyoen. The men's indoor hot spring baths are located on the 7th floor of Arima Gyoen, and they can accommodate up to 80 bathers. The women's indoor hot spring baths are also located on the 7th floor, and they can accommodate up to 50 bathers. The shared outdoor hot spring baths at Arima Gyoen have a view of the surrounding Rokko Mountain range, and the women's bath can accommodate up to 7 bathers while the men's can accommodate up to 10 bathers. Both a Japanese-style dinner and breakfast are served to the guests. Check in time is after 15:00 and check out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available.
