It is a 10 minute taxi ride from the JR Kyoto train station to Ryokan Tazuru. You can also take a subway from Kyoto Station getting off at Gion Shijo Station, from there it is a 10 minute walk. We highly recommend taking a taxi for your first visit to the ryokan.
