Welcome to Koemon. This Gassho-Zukuri (see definition of ryokan styles below) was built during the Edo Period (1600-1868) and is perfect for guests looking to experience Japan in a very traditional way. It has 5 Japanese-style guest rooms without their own private baths or toilets, and there is a family bath that can be used from 17:00-21:00. Local, Japanese-style cuisine is served to the guests in an Irori (hearth) room at Koemon. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 9:00. Parking is available for up to 5 cars.

Directions: Take the Nohi bus from JR Takayama train station to Shirakawa-go bus stop (about 50 minutes). Cross the bridge and you will find Koemon on your right.
