Japanese Garden at Gyozanen

Location: Rural Kyoto

Welcome to Gyozanen. This Traditional Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) is located in rural Kyoto Prefecture, about 70 minutes by bus from central Kyoto. It has 13 rooms (both Japanese style and combined Japanese-Western style), all of which have private baths and toilets. There are several hot spring baths, including a "hinoki" (Japanese cypress) bath, a rock bath and an outdoor bath (same gender bathing only). Traditional Japanese-style cuisine is served to the guests at Gyozanen. Check-in time is from 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00. Parking is available for free (up to 30 cars).

Directions: It is a 70 minute bus ride from JR Kyoto train station to Ohara. From the Ohara Bus Stop, it is a 10 minute walk to Gyozanen. Another Route: it is a 15 minute taxi ride from the Kokusai Kaikan subway station (on the Keihan Rail Line) to Gyozanen.
