I recently stayed at Yumoto Itayen with my companion/caregiver for 4 days. The Japanese Style room was excellent, spotlessly clean and well appointed for us. We found the food to be excellently prepared and served. The Onsen was also a wonderful experience for my caregiver and myself, plus the delightful surprise of snow on our first full day. Never having been in snow, my caregiver who is a Mexican citizen, was thrilled with the beauty of this experience. The lovely goodbye from staff as well as the appearance of them for our every need makes this a special ryokan to me. I stayed here in the early 1960's with my family when we lived in Yokohama. I brought my husband here in 1998 as well. It is always a wonderful and caring experience which continues to my delight.
