Welcome to Sadachiyo. Located in the Asakusa district of Tokyo, walking into this a beautifully decorated and maintained Modern Ryokan is like stepping back in time to Edo period Japan. The lobby, hallways, and dining area are all decorated with wonderful antiques from the Edo period. All 20 Japanese-style rooms in this four story ryokan are also decorated with antiques and woodblock paintings. Each guest room at Sadachiyo has its own private toilet and bath. There are 2 gorgeous shared baths for the guests (same gender only) - one made of Japanese cypress and another made of black granite. Check-in time is after 16:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am.

Sadachiyo is a traditional Ryokan and a favourite of mine. The staff always make you welcome. The breakfast, bathhouse and rooms make it must stay spot when in Asakusa.

Great taste of tradition

Sadachiyo had all the comforts of a modern hotel with the style of a traditional home. We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the onsen. We visited Tokyo during a heatwave but the temperature in the room was air conditioned and very comfortable. Would stay here again!

Just perfect

Gracias Sadachiyo Ryokan. The location is perfect, near of the sanctuary of Asakusa and Senso-ji, quiet place without the burden of large buildings, traffic and people. The food is very good, a typical breakfast that you will only be able to eat in Japan. The staff is very friendly, professional, they help you in everything and make your stay a luxury. The traditional style room very comfortable, with air conditioning, cleaned, perfect for rest. The atmosphere is amazing, if you like Japan, it is the perfect environment for you, what you have always dreamed of in the middle of Tokyo. Given the location, the food, the staff, the room and the atmosphere the price of the room is worth it. I will certainly repeat in the future. Thank you Sadachiyo Ryokan

Me and my family enjoyed staying in this Ryokan. It is pricey but you are getting your money's worth. The Ryokan is clean, very homey and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We also love the surrounding areas which still has the edo period feel. If you really want to know how it feels like to live in a real japanese home, stay in this ryokan. The location is so good as well. Walking distance to Sensoji temple, lot of eateries, Don Quijote mall which is open 24/7, 2 train stations nearby (Asakusa) and Tawaramachi. The public bath is a good experience as well, we love it! We would definitely stay in this Ryokan again when we come back to Japan. We really love and miss this place!
