Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to the Hotel Seamore. This very large Ryokan Hotel is located right on the seaside in the popular resort area of Shirahama. There are 164 guest rooms in the Hotel Seamore, and almost half are Japanese-style rooms. All guest rooms have their own private bath and toilet. There are 2 indoor hot spring baths for women and 2 indoor hot spring baths for men (same gender only). The indoor hot spring baths are open 24 hours a day. There are also 5 outdoor hot spring baths for women and 7 outdoor hot spring baths for men (same gender only). These hot spring tubs provide guests with a wonderful view of the ocean. Guests have access to a seaside swimming pool at the Hotel Seamore. Stores and restaurants are also located in the Hotel Seamore. Traditional Japanese-style cuisine is served. Check-in time is after 3:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available. English is spoken.
