This was an amazing place, if only we had stayed there for two nights instead of one. The meals were delicious and the staff was probably the friendliest we encountered on our entire trip. My only wish is that there were none-smoking rooms, as you can always smell it somewhat from previous guests. Other than that the room was great with our own outdoor onsen.

Wonderful stay in Kinosaki, enjoyed the peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the cities. Had great fun clip clopping around to the onsens in our yukatas and sandals, then returned to a wonderful feast. Definitely a highlight of our time in Japan.

This ryokan was the best part of our two weeks in Japan! My girlfriend and I stayed here and we were pampered like no other. We experienced the finest Japanese hospitality; they made us a 13 course dinner featuring Crab, the regions specialty; they made us a 8 course breakfast; the room was nice and well equipped with everything we needed (we stayed in Traditional because we love the cool feel of the Tatami Mats). We asked about a private bath and they phoned another onsen and booked one for us for after dinner. When we showed up to the lobby after our delicious meal they offered to drive us there! It's nice that they have a sister ryokan so we can use both of their services. They also give you an onsen pass that is valid for use at all the 7 onsens in the city. At night, dress up in the Yukata and Geta and just walk along the city proper. The dimly lit lanterns illuminating the river with the clip cops of your geta sandals is an experience you cant capture on video, or camera. The next time we come to Japan, we will go out of our way to come back and enjoy this ryokan!

I greatly enjoy my stay thanks to private onsen and to the good foods. only thing to improve is entry of ryokan ( all in japanese) and I had hard time to find it.
