Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Komagatake Kanko Hotel. This Ryokan Hotel is located near Lake Tazawako, a beautiful crater lake that is also the deepest lake in Japan. There are 125 guest rooms, including 100 Japanese style rooms, 6 Western rooms and 19 Japanese-Western style rooms, divided between two buildings (Honkan and Bekkan). All 105 rooms in the Honkan have private baths and toilets, but the 20 rooms in the Bekkan do not. There are two indoor and two outdoor hot spring baths (same gender only). Japanese cuisine is served to guests at Komagatake Kanko Hotel. Check-in is after 16:00 and check-out is before 10:00. Parking is available.
