Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Notonosho. This is a Luxurious Ryokan located on the Sea of Japan with a wonderful view of Wajima Bay. There are 20 Japanese-style rooms, and each guest room has its own private bath and toilet. There are hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only) at Notonosho. The 1st floor baths are can accommodate up to 30 bathers, and the 2nd floor baths have views of Wajima Bay and can accommodate up to 15 bathers (they are also open 24 hours a day). The outdoor hot spring baths (same gender only) are smaller and have views of Notonosho's Japanese garden. Traditional Japanese cuisine with fresh seafood dishes are served to the guests. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available.
