Komeikan

Location: Near Mount Fuji, Yamanashi Prefecture

Welcome to Komeikan. This Ryokan Hotel (see definition of ryokan styles below) has great views of Mt Fuji, and from Komeikan it is only a 5 minute walk to Lake Yamanaka. There are 34 Japanese-style rooms available, as well as a shared indoor hot spring bath for both women and men (same gender only). This hot spring is said to be very therapeutic for a veriety of bodily aches and pains. Komeikan serves fresh, seasonal Japanese cuisine throughout the year. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am.

Directions: From Shinjuku Train Station, Tokyo: It is a 90 minute ride on the Chuo Line to Otsuki train station. From Otsuki train station, take the Fujikyuko Line to Fujiyoshida train station. From Fujiyoshida train station, it is a 25 minute ride on the Fujikyu Rosen Bus to Asahigaoka Bus Stop. From there please call the ryokan and they will come and pick you up.
From Tokyo Train Station: It is an 80 minute ride on the Tokaido Line to Kozu train station. From Kozu train station, it is a 60 minute ride on the Gotenba Line to Gotenba train station. From Gotenba train station, it is a 40 minute ride on the Fujikyu Rosen Bus to Asahigaoka Bus Stop. From there please call the ryokan and they will come and pick you up.
From Odakyu Shinjuku Train Station, Tokyo: It is a 90 minute ride on the Odakyu Line to Gotenba Station. From Gotenba train station, it is a 40 minute ride on the Fujikyu Rosen Bus to Asahigaoka Bus Stop. From there please call the ryokan and they will come and pick you up.
From Shinjuku Train Station, Tokyo: A cheaper (and easier) way is to take a bus: Take a "Highway Bus" called the Chuokosoku Bus from Shinjuku station. This bus goes directly to Yamanakako Bus Stop. From this bus stop it takes 7 minutes on foot. Just go the same direction as the bus. You should be able to see Komeikan's sign from the bus stop. The bus leaves at 10 past the hour starting from 7:10 am and stopping at 20:10 (8:10 pm). The entire trip will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes and costs about 2,000 yen one way. The times and costs are just guidelines as these might change please keep this in mind.
